I'd gotten some of the GF buckers, didn't see the part about them being wound to 12k...bloody hell. Sounded like my amp's under a pillow.

Worst part is that I bought five of 'em. Deeply, deeply, deeply regret doing that. They're in the same ****** box towards the back of the closet that I know every person here has. Let the kids fight over them when I die, I figure that's the only way they'll learn that not everything old is good.

If they're a four wire pickup, wire 'em in parallel instead of series. But they'd sound 100% better.
