I have 2 Powerwerks 50 watt powered speakers, each has 2 - 5" speakers and a horn, and I plug straight out of the Rec Out/Phones jack of the Micro Cube into one of the Powerwerks speakers. If I need to I can then slave the second speaker off the first. I've also run out of that jack into Peavey and Carvin PA's and once in a while when I need a lot of power I'll run it straight into the Aux Channel of my 120 watt California Blonde amp.
In each case the sound is wonderful and I get compliments. I believe the Rec Out/Headphones jack has cabinet simulation too but I may be wrong. There is a slight difference in tone between mic'ing and going direct.
I've run my Tele into a Apogee Jam and into my iPad and then out the headphone jack of the iPad into the Powerwerks speaker and that works real nicely as well. I've run the iPad into the Cube at home and on the JC Clean setting got very nice tones. I'm using Ampkit on the iPad though the others will work too. I just get a stronger signal out of Ampkit and that software has way more choices on stomp boxes and the amp selections are pretty diverse. I can't get the Apogee Jam to work on Amplitube though I do love the Fender package that Amplitube has.
