Given that this pickup is different than the type apparently normally found in this model, I'd be interested to find out more details about it. Like whether it has a baseplate, what its DC resistance measures out to be. I like these pickup mysteries.

Yegbert - I'm about to do my customary work on any new guitar that arrives - dress the edges of the frets (the frets themselves are perfect), adjust the intonation (although with the 'stock' strings on it is spot-on), and replace the stock strings with my favourite D'Addarios.
As soon as I've got the strings off I'll take out both pups and take some detailed pics, which I will post on here as soon as I can. Keep your eyes open for my response!
