I've hard a few of the GFS stuff now and in person they all seem to have this airy precense-like quality no matter the overall tone coming out of them. That's kind of what I'm looking for... I won a set of the Liverpools for $29 a pop, they're going into an Artcore small bodied ES-335 copy; I also won a set of 50's tele pups for $16 BUCKS!! I'll post the results after I get them loaded up...
