Funny, I use my Dual Showman Reverb and Bandmaster for in-the-house playing (usually when no one else is around!) and my
PR, VOX DA-5 and ZT Lunchbox for gigs! I don't want to carry big amps around anymore and the small ones are fine for my low-volume band.
Back in the '70s and early '80s, though, I wouldn't think of playing with anything less than a Bandmaster--I would crank it to 10 and get a great sound.
And there's nothing like a Twin Reverb. It occupies a sonic universe all its own; nothing else sounds like it or probably ever will.
