thought about that more than a few times and always come to the conclusion that i never liked tele neck pups. firstly, look at the why they were created and what their design was/is all about.
i much prefer a well wound strat pup in the tele neck position. now i've got the best of both fender worlds - a bluesy strat neck tone and a honkin' tele bridge tone. ahhhhh, tele life is good.
