I just came from one. I always have a horrible experience at GC, no matter what I'm checking out. Everything from the facility itself (which likely lead to the problems with noisy pedals), to the "hey bro" know-nothings they employ as salespeople, to the "beginner metalhead" ambience. $ubpar on all accounts.
In the halcyon days when I couldn't really tell the **** from the fudge, a trip to GC was wonderful, like a toy store. Now, I find it a nightmare experience, and I'm unlikely to ever buy anything there, not just because I can get better prices and service elsewhere, but at this point, on principle. /endrant
