Looks easy, sounds simple. Dead difficult to nail - you have to be Hank.
Highly under-rated player now is Hank, but not at the time, he was the best.
Everyone and their dog tried to copy Hank, and failed.
Jerry Lordan composed Apache (whilst on a tube train?) for Bert Weedon who recorded the first version, then demoed it on ukulele to The Shadows' Jet Harris...
When Hank got the strat (it was not that fiesta red then, it was flamingo pink!) there were still import restrictions in place. Hence Hofners and Burns. The Burns were probably better than the Fender strat, lots of technical innovations, even Gretsch used the Burns tremolo under license. Hank upgraded to a Burns too.
