After 3 weeks of playing
Now i have had time to contemplate sensibly what guitar i have got. Fender has done excellent work in choosing parts around this body of not so usual tonewood! 52 Hot Rod neck, 62 Custom pups and Am Std modern bridge are created to go together.
I have a guitar, far better and suited for my needs than i anticipated when i made my reservation at Thomann, Germany in mid-April.
My main amp today may have only one 12AX7 tube, but when i play OG Tele in VOX AC50 amp model selected, i can hear tones around 12th fret playing E, B and G strings sounding like somebody was grinding glass surface of that tube!
Not some noise, but a musical sound, happening when bending some notes in that neck area.
Surely you owners of bigger tube only amps have already heard this, and with other good guitars too!
Well, i will get my 8-tube 40 watts 12 inch monster after no longer wait than i had with Old Growth!
