The Truss Rod adjustment nut is full of polishing compound, and it appears relatively new like the nut hasn't been adjusted since it was polished.
No string tree hole...so the neck almost certainly was never used. And no impressions where the tuning keys were mounted.
And the biggie, “Unknown Manufacture”. It makes me wonder where all the stuff comes from. All these guys that list stuff that they don’t know where is came from. Like what, they just rolled over one morning and there it was laying next to them in their bed? What, did they pick it up in a drunken stooper at some bar on Saturday night?
When a seller starts throwing around ambiguous statements like “I don’t know”, in e-Bayonics its code for watch out, here it comes. It’s a weasel clause for claiming they didn’t know about the loose frets, major warp, or whatever.
While it actually wasn’t P T Barnum that said it, it was one of his competitors; it still has application in this situation. There are indeed enough suckers out there to go around.
Anyone know what Caveat Emptor means?
