After a long period of consideration I finally did it...played a gig last Friday night with the Blues Jr. Just the tweed Jr and a Strat with a Boss compressor pedal. (used a clip on vibration tuner) The Jr was mic'd with a 57 and did the job amazingly well. I had more than enough stage volume since I was the only electric guitar on stage. (One acoustic, pedal steel, upright bass, drums and me on the Strat). The tones I was getting with the compressor pedal and the Jr were close to illegal. Am going to have to do that again!

I play in that same exact instrument configuration in a classic country band, and my Tele> small pedal board (with Tuner/OD/slapback delay)> 1999 Blondie Blues Jr. has worked great for me as we dont't play very loudly (although we will ramp up for "Folsom Prison", and some Elvis songs...) I am basically alone to the left of the drummer, lead singer on acoustic in the middle, and bass/ steel gtr on the drummer's other side- The BJ rules!
