Baseball -- Bob Brenly, back when he was still catching for the Giants. Very easy to talk to, and surprised me he was only about my size (5' 10", 190 or so -- just as well not to be too tall, as a catcher)
Music -- Tommy Castro, 20 years ago; couldn't have been nicer, talked about his old black Strat and only using the neck pickup.
Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown, just a few years ago. So nice I could hardly believe it. Even pretended he remembered a show I had seen in 1969; maybe he has an amazing memory.
Dave Hole -- same blues festival as Simmonds, they had just done a mouthwatering slide guitar clinic, and he was as down-to-earth and gentlemanly as Kim had been.
KBR -- great guy, let me play his guitars and watch over them while he was talking to some other people and getting stuff arranged for a gig. Then I had a front-row seat while he and his guys played a great set. What great tone.
