It's at the top of the MIM Tele heap along with the '50s/'60s Classics and the Muddy Waters.

If we don't talk about the additional PU (which I don't care for), how does the Deluxe Series Nashville Tele compare to the MIM Standard (neck shape, fretwork, build quality, tuners)?
The neck shape is modern, similar to an American Series Tele, the frets are medium-jumbo, overall build quality is pretty close to MIA imo, the Asian-made Kluson clones are pretty good. It's a better all-around instrument than the MIM Standard -- the weak points are the six-barrel ashtray-style bridge (you're better off with either a traditional three-saddle ashtray or a modern non-ferromagnetic bridge like a Gotoh imo) and (again imo) the pickups. Body wood matching isn't up to MIA standards, so I'd go for an opaque color, and weight trends toward heavy, but mine isn't nearly as heavy as my partscaster, which has a Fender California Fat Tele body.

Also, does anybody know what's under the pickguard - swimming pool routing like on the 90's Stratocasters or individual routes for each pickup?
Semi-swimming pool -- there's a single large rout for the middle and neck pickups and a traditionally-shaped rout for the bridge pickup.
