Have you tried loosening up the control plate and moving it out of the way before installing the pickguard? That's what I had to do in order to get mine to line up. It wouldn't fit either until I did that. It should fit perfect after doing that. I have the exact same guitar and 52 black 5 hole guard. Here's mine with the black guard on:
