For pedals, I like getting them at a used priced. But if at particular moment that I need that certain pedal - and I've got really no luck for a used one, then I would get the brand new one. In some cases if the pedal has lots of presets, settings and knobs (ex. Strymon Bluesky Reverbrerator) - I'd get a new one to have that warranty back up just in case. =)
