Wes Montgomery - "Smokin at the Half Note"
Mark O' Connor's Hot Swing Trio - "In Full Swing"
John Scofield - "That's What I Say"
Alvin Youngblood Heart - "Motivational Speaker"
Burning Water (Michael Landau's band)
Rodney Crowell - Fate's Right Hand
Joscho Stephan - Swinging Strings (Mind-blowing Gypsy Jazz)
Gerardo Nunez - Annando el Tiempo (Best Flamenco player I've ever heard)
I've seen some great stuff listed above, and I'm headed for the CD shelves to dig out a few I haven't heard in a while. Someone mentioned the Masters of Reality - "Sunrise on the Sufferbus" is a fantastic recording!
e-merlin, if you want to hear Mark May play a Tele, see if you can find his first CD, "Call on the Blues". After that one, he started using a variety of guitars. Last time I saw him, it was a McCarty.
