A 4" grinder is ok but the speed is difficult to control and it is hard for me to see what I'm doing. You can purchase a small air driven grinder and then find some smaller sanding discs (I get mine at the welding supply place). Things go slower this way for me, slower speed and on/off is easy, which allows me to enjoy the process more.
