I like the sound of 10´s so I have a super reverb with 4 10". For miking it up, you would get a louder sound from one source(a 12") than from one of the 10´s in a 2x10 configuration. That might also be something to consider. Anyway that´s just a thought I´ve got, not something I know, so others might correct me if I´m wrong. Another thing is that I find the SR 10´s a bit easier to mike up, to get a good sound in the mix. They are a bit more focused than my old HRD´s 12" but that might be the different amp. Different makes and models would also sound different, even in the same dimentions.....It´s not that simple.....
