Sorry kids, back to the boring old guitarstuff.
Neck goes int the multi-jig*;
Cheapass router;
Couple passes later;
Freehanded the access hole, TR fits nicely;
Been fighting a strip of maple all morning, got fed up and decided to go with a scrap pice of hardwood skirting board, here it is on the DIY router table;
Not a clue what wood it is;
No table saw or band saw available, so the mitre saw was put to good use;
These TRs have a tendency to rattle (so I'm told) so I need to think up something to stop that. Maybe a little soft chewy candy?
Hacking off a piece;
Kidding ya! That would have made an awful mess one day. I thought this stuff might make for a nice shock absorber. Poor man's bench dogs, bench rug in fact. I cut a strip off, opened the TR put it in between the rod and the... thingy? and presto;
This is the stuff (Dutchies; they sell this at ACTION €1/rug);
Oops... neglected to take a piccie of the skunk stripe in place... Here it is all clamped up;
