I've had to think a lot these past few months about this sort of stuff. I've never really done drugs, but I do like to drink. For me its a matter keeping it controlled in a social context. I went through a lot of trying times this past year (facing the realities of growing up is hard). There were times where I leaned on the bottle too much. It was never to the point where it was an addiction, but it easily could have gotten there. See, I tend to have an addictive personality. I get addicted easily to things like running, music, coffee, certain foods, etc.
Luckily alcohol hasn't quite become one of my addictions, but I always have to be cautious as it easily could be for me. I can't even begin to describe how much motivation this thread gives me in terms of keeping it under control.

good for you that you are thinking about these things before it is too late. If you ever feel like it has gotten too bad or you need advice in anything feel free to P.M me and we can chat about anything that might help you. Sometimes it helps when you dont know somebody personally and you know they wont judge you. Getting these things off your chest make it real and is a great place to start...
