for all his "eccentricities", he's a PHENOMENAL player.....
There's a track he did with Chet Atkins on Chet's "Read My Licks" release that's just tasty....my personal favorite E.J. tune is "Manhattan" though.....'specially the live version on the G3 cd & dvd with Joe Satriani and Steve Vai...(lumped in with the "Shredders" is right....) although i consider him to be in more of a jazz vein harmonically speaking.....
