As you won't have much time to waste when your gear arrives, make sure you're well stocked with strings, fresh batteries, plectrums, notepad and pens, blank CDs, coffee or other refreshments, all your minor but essential items.
Aslo, if you're recording to hard disc, make sure you have plenty of disc space available, and defrag the disc.
