$50 dows seem high for an SMD cart, but then I think about what some of these would go for within the enclosure with the pots and switches, jack, etc..Often they will go $100-200. So having the enclosure part taken care of within the console(hopefully a one time expense) you are left paying for designs which would otherwise be prohibitive if paying for a bunch of pedals, as wsell as the opportunity to mix and match. Then again, you are limited by how many you can use at one time. If you buy 5 or six of the cartridges, you can still only use two at a time. This is the biggest drawback/limitiation I see to using the product in a live context..In recording or practice you have a bit more levity, but still face limitations as opposed to buying 5 or 6 different pedals within a separate enclosure. To get things going, you are correct...they should have as many different carts available right away to gain traction through a wider audience than just a fuzz/OD context. The cored audience will have a lot of stuff already.
