Table Steel and Sacred Steel
I saw a Robert Randolph video on an airplane flight last month. I love that singing tone he gets. Then I teched at a cowboy band reunion. Their steel player was using a double 8 string Gibson from the '40's. He had the best vibrato I've heard since David Lindley. I'm jonsing for the next step up from my National lap steel. Does anyone make an eight string Weisenborn-type guitar? What are some good instruction videos for table steel, either Western or Hawaiian?
Any other fans of non-pedal steel and sacred steel in all of it's forms?
