The guys who love Dumbles include some of the guys who are recognized for being some of the greatest fans of tone (and players) in the electrical age...
Most people don't really know much about Dumble the man. He doesn't advertise, won't build an amp except the way he wants to and he controls what he does. You have every right to think what you want about him and/or his amps... but, if you had something that a niche valued in the same way, you might very well sell it the way he does and have his level of success.
Virtually every mass market modeler includes a model that is trying to capture the Dumble sound... it would be kind of fun to have developed something like that (except for a group of folks who hate you just because...)
Buy the amp that fits your needs. Worrying about what other people do is a fruitless pursuit...
