I've got a Duncan STL-1 Vintage 54 as my bridge and a DiMarzio Twang King in the neck. If you are after clean and vintage 50's era these pups are great and they work well with pedals.
The truth is, it all depends on what you want to hear. Many of our fellow Tele lovers have definite ideas about their Tele "sound", me included. The beauty of a Tele is its versatility. I don't think there is a more versatile guitar anywhere, anyhow!
There are large numbers of you tube videos available for you to listen to different pups. They are helpful. In the end, it will still depend on your preferences.
