I think Lindy goes after the P-90 tone here if I'm correctly read?

I went after a early 1950 Broadcaster - not over wound IMHO or hot, just a correctly EQ-ed Broadcaster is all -- If I want to bark up the P-90 Tree, I take these up to 14 to 16k for people after that.. but that's allot of wire, and with more wire your chances of receiving more 60 cycle hum is increased, so I only make them for guys who understand that fact..

if Your after P-90 tone then I think there's some cool options available today- a few makers advertise P-90 tone in a Tele....

I've always preferred to just do what ever Leo Fender did, and I don't venture far.. I'm not an engineer at all..
I'm a just a die hard Vintage Enthusiast...

I can Vouch for Duncans Broadcaster - before I wound I used one for 5 years... awesome pickup!
it was about 8k - reminding me of Roy Buchanan - and worked well for my slightly over-driven rig - ( FWIW I'm still very-very close friends with the folks who help run Duncans shop - I just Tex-ted Evan Skopp today actually - so I feel its ok if I comment on some Duncans every now and then)
