Thanks for checking that out - most kind. I'm still not sure I'm any the wiser - what's a "tip-bearing cover"?

I have just started a new thread on No Load pots, because they seem to me to be so logical that I can't work out whey they're not used for all tone controls. But maybe that's better discussed in a new thread.
