After my drumset sat in this smoke filled bar for like 2 years, I finally got it out, and in sunlight the chrome was brown...and the wood smelled like smoke.
Formula 409 was the only thing I could find that would take the nicotine layer off the chrome. I sprayed the insides of the drums with it too, and a few days later, it was fine.
