i have G&L Asat Tribute Bluesboy, and installed a SD Phat Cat in the Neck. I quite liked the bridge pup, so i didnt replace it.
problem number one is that the p90 sounds great with a 500k pot and cleans up beautiful, the bridge pup sounds crappy with a 500k volume pot turned all the way up, sound kinda wha-wha like, or imagine a phaser, kinda a shifted sound.
i wired it like crap, so the treble bleed cap works only on the SD. i find this so great, the SD cleans up so nice and the g&l sounds like almost acoustic when i turn down the volume pot and i can get really nice tones.
the biggest problem ist: i dont know how to wire this correct. the p90 is a supplied with a vintage style braided shield wire. so how can i wire this with a 3 way switch, there's one cable missing
and i wired it so strange that i got no middle position also.
also the treble bleed isnt working on the bridge pup.
how can i wire this correct? 1 volume 500k 1 tone 250k 1 3way switch.
by the way, would a 500k tone pot be an improvement?
