I'm looking for a good set of in-ear monitors. This will be for our singer who is even more lost on the subject than I am. His budget is $800 or less.

I've seen stuff from Nady, Shure, Sennheiser, and Carvin. What are other brands and where is a good place to look at theses things?

What we need is something he can use at practuce and also use live. How do these work live? Do we give the transmitter to the sound guy and have him hook it up?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
