I have the 2238WC (black). I don't think it has the zero fret.
I've thought about upgrading the pickups and electronics on it but the bridge is not a true tele bridge so it would take some conversion work. It's fun to play anyway and has a tight sound especially with a little overdrive. I own a squier standard strat, too but the electra is the one I pick up to play. Good intonation all the way up the neck. Flater radius on the neck than the strat so my first finger doesn't hurt in the joint after playing.
