Actually there is a guy named Stan Monro who was a human interest newscaster here locally for our ABC affilliate. He makes toothpick models of buildings that are amazing. He was in town a few weeks ago and that kind of got me thinking about the craft sticks. Matches and toothpicks would take a loonnng time.

Well you haven't seen the cardboard guitar body yet.....
Dave, I found that in google images after I bought my craft sticks. I wasn't surprised since a matchstick guitars have been made for years. Why not popsicle sticks...???

So I removed the glue up from the posterboard. As expected some glue stuck to it mostly in the curved gaps between sticks. I scraped the surface lightly to remove glue globs and poster board remnants. The poster board side is pretty flat so I just finished gluing a third layer to that sub system and it is now under the clamps again. The first two layers felt flimsy but held together well. It was only 1/8" thick and felt like an acoustic top of lesser quality that was unbraced. I staggered the glue joints again. This makes it 3/16" and should feel more rigid when it comes out.

Are you running all the sticks parallel with each other, or are you going to alter some layers perpendicular for added strength?

This is like watching that chef show where they walk around and pick up cooking materials in a store with blindfolds on for 20 minutes, then they have to make a gourmet meal out of what they end up with.
Not sure how the dog biscuits will play out, but I'm all eyes :) |

They are all parallel to each other, with each stick overlapping the one underneath. If I were to put them perpendicular they would then be plywood, and as we know... plywood does not contain any mojo.
