OK. I went to Sticks R US and am now ready to figure out what to do with them. And away we go. Can you find the tele in the 2200 sticks?

I've been spending a lot of time thinking that I don't want to get glue all over my already dry hands...I may need to build a glue applicator with some foam rollers or something.

What a cool idea.

If it sounds good it will add to the debate that tonewood is not that important!

I've got 2 layers gluing now under a few body blanks. I sprayed some posterboard with some spray glue which is like rubber cement. That holds the sticks still some, but isn't more than tacky. I used white glue because I wanted it to get between the sticks. The sticks aren't necessary straight, so the 2nd layer overlaps the joints. I'll let this dry and see if it is sandable and then apply maybe a 3rd layer overlapping the joints on the other side too. I'll show a shot of this if it holds together.

I can see a craft stick neck done pretty easily but wide surfaces will be harder.

Here is the panel after drying under a few guitar blanks. Actually it came out pretty good. This is 2 layers about 1/8" thick. Tomorrow I'll peel it off the cardboard and see what's what.

Be cool if the end of each stick was stained the color of a used Popsicle.

It seems this is going to be one of the more structurally sound bodies in the contest. ;)
