That body looks good.

That bandsaw looks scary.

I don't like the way so much of that blade is exposed. Did you take off a guard for some reason or is it always like that??

Thanks!

Yeah the saw is a little scary. It is one of the first Italian made Laguna saws brought in the USA. I got it used off CL for cheap as is. I use it for all my curve cuts and just be very careful. I should do something with it, but then again. I probably wont.

I was thinking black as well, but because the TV jones pups are chrome, I am going with chrome, no pickgaurd. But you are right, it is asking for all black hardware.

Love those wood choices and totally understand the "wife issue".
My wife ruined (oops, I meant lovingly asked me to build something) my last weekend
when she demanded (uhhh.....requested?) that I build a desk & hutch, aka Lemonade Stand
for her 2nd grade classroom. Women......sheesh.

Remark my center lines. Next step is the thickness planer. It is 2 1/8" now, I probably will go to 1 7/8" since I am carving the top.

Template Work

I had a couple of minutes left to work on my template. I took my old neck pocket template and made a new one. Then I marked the 24th fret location and the bridge. I have the TV Jones clear template from Stew Mac, so next step is to position the pups and route it.

THANKS! Yes we mostly all have a SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed). In all fairness, I have been dragging my feet on these cabinets. Now I just have to buckle down so I can work on what I love doing.

Looks good so far. My boss gave me similar restrictions. Although I am only refinishing cabinets, not building them.

That body has soooo much character. I'd almost be tempted to carry over the contrast theme throughout the rest of the guitar.

Yeah, I'm not sure how to do it with the roasted maple neck I chose. Either way, I hope it will turn out good. The coolest part is I have 3 more pieces for later. I'm thinking a strat and an LP to match.
