He didn't even recognize it as being maple...

There were several other pieces there that had been gnawed on by rats (split) or maybe sat on by cows (warped), most definitely shat on by generations of pigeons (well... yeah).

Dave messed up the timing... He had to say "Badaboom" after you say "Nah, I got a perscription windshield."

Thanks Mate! :)

interrupting a perfectly good comedy act.
Nobody ever did that to Dean and Jerry.
Sometimes wish they woulda... but nobody ever did...

Well, as with most things concerning me, there's a story there.Being born in Texas and raised mostly in Tennessee, I count myself a Tennessean.Now the only survivors of the old Battle for the Alamo, was a couple of Tennesseans, and a couple of Mexicans.Ever since then, we may retreat too soon,we may say the wrong thing, but we retreat alive.No Texans survived

Ordered parts today.
Gathered my templates.
Put a new blade in the coping saw.
Checked the cutter bits in the routertable and the handheld.
Got a new bottle of carpenters glue and some NoLoad sandpaper at the hardware store.
Got a cup of coffee and a raspberry muffin at the mall.
Checked my messages.

Run out of excuses.
...maybe I better start this build...

Taptuned all the pieces (sorry no pix, my pitchfork wouldn't fit in the frame, no fish eye lense... ) to assign them to either bass or treble side;

You'll notice I didn't (and won't) take off the crud and the grime off the pieces. Don't wanna sart deleting vintagyness (looks like I wrote a doity woid dunnit?) in this stage.

I promised myself I wouldn't give away my trade secrets, but I will let you in on this;

As long as I don't tell you what optimum temperature for this glue is, I think my business is safe. Long and exhausting research into Danelectro's building methods learned what the average temperature was in the Danelectro workshop. I find this is a sure way to get that glue to ring along with the masonite and the fir.

I was rather upset by reports that modern MIC Danos are being built with inferior synthetic masonite (as opposed to the superior synthetic masonite of which the real ones were made).
Your work comes at a most opportune moment in history.
