US Viewers -- Where's Al?

For the past 4 years that I've watched the Tour here in the US, Al Troutwig has been the lead announcer and we like him a lot. Now today some new guy, Craig Hummer is the lead and Al's nowhere in sight.

I miss him. I wonder what is up with that change?

There is some scuttlebutt that he is busy with the Olympics coverage.

I don't think Craig Hummer is a new guy. I googled and found out that he's done several things with OLN/Versus. This isn't his first TDF, either.

Yeah Craig Hummer was announcing the Bull Ridding show before last nights TDF. Seems like he is Versus' all around announcer -- Bull Ridding / Bike Racing it's all the same.

I found Al to be a professional and interesting guy.

I found out that his is contracted to NBC and Versus and that NBC has him for the Olympics (Winter and Summer) on a regular basis.

As long as they have Phil Liggett, I'm happy.
