Then I had the idea of fabricating saddles for my American Series Teles because they did not have the same bite as my 52. After some trial and error I found the winning combination. I installed the finished product on 2 of my AMSe Teles and what a change. Even with the stock Pups. I have since stocked my shop with soild brass, threaded brass, steel and threaded steel along with the proper hardware for each type. The vintage saddles have stainless fillister head intonation screws and slotted head height adj. screws. The AMSe have the modern type stainless hardware. I hope Paul doesn't get upset
I'd love to see the finished product as well. I've been looking for a good set of steel compensated saddles that don't cost a fortune. Callaham said he could make them, but would charge somewhere around $50-60. Mannmade makes them, but never got back to me about availability. Therefore, I'd be interested to hear about these.

Thanks.
