Test Drive - I like it but felt the lead was just a little spastic at times. Slow down and milk some notes. Use those really fast runs a little more sparingly.
Sound Sketch - yes, the lead is much more flowing and less jumpy. Good stuff. Tell me about how you laid down the other instruments. Did you write these songs?
Now let's get some vocals in there!
Hi JG806. First off, nice to hear from someone in Texas. I lived in Lubbock for 13 years before moving up to SW Indiana 9 years ago. I miss Texas dearly!

Thanks for the feedback. I always appreciate other's take on my music. I did write all the tracks and I produced them in my home studio...front bedroom actually.

True, some of the parts are a bit rough because I tend to improv and then keep the parts I like.

I used Cubase SX3 for recording and mixing the tracks. The guitars were all played thru a DI into Guitar Rig 2.0 and Apmlitube 2.0. Some of the leads were played thru a Line 6 FlexTone 2.

The bass is a BC Rich Innovator 5 string, also run thru the amp sim programs.

The drums were played live on a Roland V-Drum kit and the MIDI data was recorded to a track in Cubase were it triggered EZDrummer...the sounds in the Roland controller just don't cut it.

Keyboard parts were played on a Yamaha S03 and the MIDI data was recorded and triggered a Steinway grand in Garritan Personal Orchestra.

I played all the parts and mixed the tracks myself...been doing this music thing for alot of years.

Thanks for the crits and kind comments.

Peace,
Mark
