I used to gig with a crappy 30 watt solid state rig and got by ok. Before that it was a 20 watt tube amp with a 15" speaker that was so loud it would kill small animals who strayed too close. I think I'd try a small gig with the ac4, but it would have to be miked for anything larger than a hole in the wall.
If you play any gigs in Brooklyn, many of the bars are holes in a wall....
