Please help a lefty bassist!

Hi, I want to buy a left-handed Ibanez SR-300 online, but I can find none in Canadian websites. The reason why I'm looking through Canadian sites is because of all the custom and shipping fees.

But as I've said, there is no lefty basses in any Canadian sites. So that got me thinking.

Since the reason I am looking online is because the retail price of a lefty SR-300 is much more expensive than a righty one, What if I buy a righty and modify it?

So what I am asking you is which of these following options is financially the best.

1. Just buy a lefty SR-300 offline and pay the retail price.

2. But the cheaper righty one, and just change the nut and other necessary parts.

3. Somehow buy a Canadian online music store, and buy my SR-300 from there?

Which of those options would you recommend the most?

P.S. I've already played bass for 8months, using the rental system. So it's going to be quite hard for me to play a righty one with the strings backwards.

Thanks.
