Lotsa people know Vinny. He does great work on amps, too bad he's backed up so far. Most of his time now is taken up with repairs for stores (GC, Music and Arts, practically every other music store in Suffolk Cty.) on inexpensive low end equipment (I almost said cheap POS's), which is too bad, but that's where the do-re-mi is.
I'm surprized his fame has preceded him as far as TN. I'll have to tell him.

CAR was one of three color choices. It was either that, Lake Placid Blue or a '77 or'78 Natural body. At any rate, no matter what, I would have used everything else, including the pickguard.
I actually ordered a LPB body from Stratosphere, but it was from a CIJ '62 RI, and the MIM neck didn't match up with that body. OK, lesson learned, plus I had to pay a $54.00 "restocking" fee. The MIM CAR body works perfectly.
Hopefully anybody reading this who doesn't already know that some (I still don't know how to tell which - and this is my third build) Japanese bodies and necks are not compatible with MIM and MIA ones will be saved this hassle.
