Cheers guys.

Agreed that the maple neck/black guard combo would look great, but from a playing perspective I just prefer rosewood boards, and the white guard goes better than the black.

I like the design so much that I'll be doing more. I'm thinking an Alder custom colour next, or maybe I'll go crazy and do a bound cherry mahogany... I'm open to suggestions? I will document the next build in the Home Depot forum.

More specs:

Swamp Ash body (2 piece centre joined).
Fender 'original' brand bridge and control plate.
Wilkinson compensated saddles.
CTS 250k pots.
Switchcraft output jack.
Oak 3-way switch, standard wiring.
Genuine Kluson Deluxe tuners (very nice!).

Final weight: 7lb 12oz.
