My son had an SG for a while. It was tough as nails. Nothing fragile about it. Stayed in tune as well as any guitar I've ever seen.
Neither he, nor I, could ever bond with it........it had some very hot humbuckers in it that would not produce anything resembling a 'country' tone.
So he sold it and bought a MIM Tele thinline reissue.
The Tele suited his playing style much better.
Still, there was nothing 'wrong' with the SG.
