My take on a classic...

Hey guys,

Some time ago a client ordered a double cut Tele body from me, but due to one thing or another, was unable to go through on the deal.

So anyway, I decided to keep the body as I've always liked the DC concept. It was also a chance to break away from the usual pre-CBS stuff and flex the creative muscles!

So, I opened CorelDraw and started moving and bending lines. After about an hour and around five pickguard designs later, I decided on this:

And about 6 weeks later, done. Just waiting on a string guide.

It is dimentionally identical to the drawing. The pickguard drawing was exported as a .DXF which was used to cut a template on the CNC machine. I then use the template to cut the guard from 1.5mm ABS on the router table.

Well, I love it. Plays and sounds just like a great Tele should.

Pickups are Duncan Vintage '54 in the bridge, and Duncan '50's in the neck. All Nitro finish of course.

Leme know what you think!
