Wow... tough one. It's hard choosing when being a beer snob jerk at just 23 years old:
Belgian: Piraat or Delirium Nocturnum
Belgian Style (not Belgium brewed): La Fin Du Monde (Unibroue Brewery, Canada) or Damnation (Russian River Brewery)
IPA: Pliney the Elder or Blind Pig (same brewery - Russian River)
Pale Ale: Stone Pale Ale (Stone Brewery) or Untouchable (Speakeasy Brewery)
Hefeweizen: Paulaner (Germany) or Franziskaner (Germany)
Lager: Abandon Ship (it's smoked in burning barrels - it picks up the mesquite burnt barrel taste) or Coney Island Lager (schmaltz brewery)
Red Ale: Hop Head Red (greenflash brewery)
Rye Ale: Red's Rye Ale (Founders brewery)
Nut Brown Ale: screw Newcastle, that sucks, get this: Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale (England)
There's so many styles of beer that I can't just pick one as you can see. Even these were too tough to choose.
I suggest printing out my last and taking it to your local beer snobbery distributor. Purchase the proper glass and never drink from the wrong one.. I'm such a jerk, haha.
