I've had the Hayseed 30 head for several years now, and the honeymoon has never ended.

It's just a wonderful amp. It's got your basic sparkly Vox chime, and a great full low end. (I'm playing through a cab with 2X12 AlNiCo Blues.) :-) There's a 15w/30w switch in the back along with a master volume. Even at 15w it kicks some serious butt.

I also got the EF86 option on the first channel and that offers a killer Marshall-y crunch, with three tone options on the back. Yum. :-)

Built like a tank, too. Don't want to sway you too much -- okay, just enough ;-) -- but it really is a great amp. Hope it helps, CS

Edit: To answer your actual question -- D'oh!

it's got plenty of clean headroom and takes pedals very well. (FullDrive 2 and Boss chorus, anyway.) Best of luck.
