Our local Craigslist has a post from someone selling an "03 Fender Highway One Series Texas Telecaster." I have a Highway One Texas which I am greatly fond of, and would even pick up another if the price was right.

However, I'm wondering whether this is an actual "Texas" Highway One. Perhaps some of you all can remember the details of the first run Texas model, I am not sure I remember correctly. This ad clearly shows a rosewood fretboard and the ad copy says it has that. I thought the Texas model never had rosewood? Also, the sunburst seems to look as though it is the three color sunburst, rather than the two color sunburst. I thought all Texas models had the two color sunburst?

There are pix with the ad, but too small to enlarge enough to tell with certainty regarding the sunburst color. I can't tell which tuners are installed, nor can I manage to count the number of frets - I know the standard Highway One has 22 while the Texas has 21.

The ad claims the neck is a 12" radius neck, which is correct.

I'm in contact with the seller, but I think I need to ask some "hard" questions.
