I have a 2009 american standard pickup in a partscaster esquire. Its kinda trebly,not so ice pick but more then I like. It sounds good both high gain and clean. I think I can have better. the am standard has no base plate. Do you folks think a baseplate would help? What sort of pickup do you think might "warm" it up? its an ash body,maple/maple allparts neck.
