I'm pretty set on a Classic Player Jazzmaster. Have played a friend's several times. Lovely guitar. Probably going to go ahead and order one soon.

Trouble is, I don't want to shell out on the (very expensive) Fender Jazzmaster case...it's $175..!

I was wondering which cases other Jazzmaster / Jaguar players use.

I was thinking of ordering a Gator bass case along with the Jazzmaster, (it's $89)

The lower bout of this case is listed as 13.625", so the only problem I can foresee is an extra few inches beyond the headstock.

Is this a good course of action?
